Before There Was a Foundation Before there was a website, a toolkit, or a pilot plan, there was a birthday. It was JJ’s birthday. There was cake on the table, kids running through the house, and boxes stacked by the door. The difference was what was inside those boxes. Instead of bringing traditional gifts, we invited friends to bring new toys to be donated. Not because we wanted to take something away from our son. Not because we wanted to make a statement. But because we wa
